Successful Camp Season Ending Soon

Patriots Path Council BSA Accredited Summer Camp programs have entered their final week. This has been a successful summer returning to a full summer camp season.

Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation in Stanhope, New Jersey, kicked off its summer camp season with Scouts BSA troops arriving at Camp Somers. Patriots’ Path Council Commissioner Archer Jones addressed Scouts and leaders at Camp Somers on Tuesday night at dinner, saying “It is AWESOME to have Scouts back in camp.”

On Monday mornings six buses arrive bringing Scouts to Camp Somers Trailblazer Day Camp and Cub Scouts to Camp Wheeler Cub Scout Day Camp. Watchung Regional Day Camp opened with four buses of Cub Scouts when the excitement of the outdoors will came alive for our Cubs, offering fishing, BB guns and archery, among other activities.

On Sunday, July 10th, Scouts and their leaders arrived in Rockaway, NJ, at Winnebago Scout Reservation for a fun-filled outdoor adventure. The first week of summer camp was one of the largest of the summer, where Scouts made memories that will last a lifetime. Garrick Stoldt, Patriots’ Path Council president, addressed the Winnebago dining hall at lunch on Tuesday, as the camp received its National Accreditation flag from the BSA, sharing how great it was to be at camp again.
