On the weekend of Oct. 15-17, 2021, Sussex District held its fall Cub Scout Camporee at Camp Somers. A total of 233 Cub Scouts, family members and adult leaders participated in the event.

Cubs enjoyed archery, BB guns and fishing. In addition, the program included pumpkin painting, scarecrow building and a “songs and skits” program to provide a fun campfire program in the evening.

The weather was great (except for a severe wind and rainstorm that passed through around 4 p.m.). The event was chaired by Katherine Smith and supported by many adult volunteers and Scouts from Sussex troops.
