Registration Continues for NYLT Programs

Patriots’ Path Council will be holding three NYLT programs this year at Camp Winnebago. Traditional week-long programs will be held in June and August, and a two-weekend program is planned in November.

National Youth Leadership Training is a rigorous youth leadership training program that provides skills for life, and is designed to benefit and enhance the leadership teams of troops and crews. It is fun, challenging and informative. The NYLT course centers on the concepts of what a leader must BE, what a leader must KNOW, and what a leader must DO. The key elements are taught with a clear focus on HOW TO. The skills come alive during the week as the participants go on a quest for the meaning of leadership.

NYLT is a seven-day course. Content is delivered in a troop and patrol outdoor setting with an emphasis on immediate application of learning in a fun, guiding environment. Interconnecting concepts and work processes are introduced early, built upon, and aided by the use of memory aids which allow participants to understand and employ the “Tool Box” of leadership skills much more quickly.

Scouts must be 13 years old (or completed seventh grade) and First Class to attend.

NYLT is a great opportunity for the leaders in your troop to enhance their leadership skills as Scouts and in their future activities whatever they may be.  For more information, click here.
