Youth Protection Starts with You

The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment for our youth members. We have practiced the industry standard of youth protection policies for decades, and the results are visible.

Youth protection starts with you, specifically with you understanding the guidelines and procedures that provide a safe environment.

All adults must take Youth Protection Training before registering, and must renew the training every two years. You cannot be present at a Scouting activity lasting for 72 hours without being registered.

To check your status, go to my.Scouting.org and click on “My Training” under the main menu.  That will show your status and give you a convenient link to the appropriate training for you. The training is easily taken online and is available in English or Spanish.
