Orion Project Adventure Planned in 2021

The Summit Bechtel Reserve is throwing open its gates to any Scout who wants to experience everything the Summit has to offer from July 18 to 24, 2021. The Summit has combined all its best programs into one adventure called the Orion Project for the 2021 season only. The program is open to all members of Scouts BSA, Venturing and Exploring.

The Orion Project is a seven-day overnight program that will give Scouts free reign of the Summit. The name of the game is adventure, and with so many great opportunities for BMX, skateboarding, mountain biking, zip lines, canopy tours, challenge courses, climbing, shooting sports, whitewater rafting, and fellowship with Scouts from across the nation, there’s lots to experience and choose from.

Departure will be early on July 18, 2021, and return late on July 24, 2021. The estimated cost is between $1,250 and $1,500.

The Summit staff knows that many plans have changed recently, and they are excited to offer this program to help Scouts enjoy the great outdoors. During 2020, the Summit Bechtel Reserve was open for programming, and it is expected the same will be true for 2021. The Summit staff is proud to offer a once-in-a-lifetime experience during your stay at the Summit.
