BSA No Longer Supplying Printed Membership Cards

For about 4 years, the BSA has made it possible for a unit’s key 3 to print membership cards and certificates for their units. Effective January 1, 2019, the BSA will no longer supply the councils with membership card stock, or charter certificate card stock.

In an effort to streamline basic operations and put tools in the hands of the volunteers, the BSA has decided to make “self-service” as many membership processes as possible. This change will allow a unit’s key 3 to print charter certificates and membership cards in a timelier manner.

Patriots’ Path Council had a small inventory in stock and worked through as many charters as possible. Which has now been depleted. We apologize, but as a result, some units will not be printed, leaving it up to the unit’s key 3 to print their own certificates or cards.

If hopefully we find a vendor who can supply us with the correct template, we’ll have it available for sale in the Scout shop. But for now, we recommend using plain white 8 ½” x 11” card stock.
