Save The Date! 2018 Youth Protection Symposium: Opioid Awareness, Protecting Our Teens!

You’re Invited!  On a biannual basis, the Patriots’ Path Council Hosts its Youth Protection Symposium.  The event will take place on Friday May 11, 2018 at the Boy Scouts of America Service Center in Cedar Knolls, NJ. This year’s topic is Opioid Awareness, Protecting Our Teens! The Symposium will begin with check in and breakfast at 8:00 am.  The program will start at 9:00 am and come to an end at 3:00 pm.

Any individual interested in learning about protecting our local teenagers including current youth workers, school counselors, camp directors, mental health workers, sports coaches, etc., are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Many topics will be covered including Narcan training, stories from survivors, presentation by the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris Counties on supplies and resources.  Participants will also learn what the signs are and how to prevent the worst-case scenario. A presentation will be shared on the Hope Wing at Morris County Jail and the key note speaker will be James P. Curtin, MBA, LCADC, president of DAYTOP New Jersey.

The cost will include a light breakfast and lunch.  Registration will open on March 20th.
