New District Structure – Staffing Plan to Support New Structure, Effective January 1, 2018

The council’s new structure will increase the number of professional staff, and significantly change the organization and roles of our professional Scouters. It will also change who our volunteers go to for support, depending on the function.
The team of professionals serving the districts will be led by a field director. The role of the field director is to supervise and give guidance and leadership to professionals that are part of the service area team. This team includes membership, unit service, and program professionals, who service all the districts in the service area. The field director is also responsible for the leadership of the Journey to Excellence objectives for all the districts in the service area and will work directly with the district chairmen, district commissioners, and nominations, publicity and health and safety committee chairmen.
