On May 20-21, 2017, at Winnebago Scout Reservation, packs will enjoy activities including:

BB, Archery, Bouldering Wall, Cubmobile Run, Batting Cage, Fishing on the camp dock, Softball-Mini-Golf, District Pinewood Derby, and Winnebago Cub Scout Trail Hiking.  Please note activities are subject to change.  Online registration opens on March 20th through the Fishawack calendar at (click on May 20) and closes on May 11th.   


You can choose to have dinner in the Winnebago dining hall or cook in your campsite.


$18.50 per Scout, adult and sibling over 6 years old, if pack is having dinner in the dining hall.  Free for sibling age 6 and less. 

$10.00 per Scout, adult and sibling over 6 years old, if your pack is cooking dinner in its campsite.  Free for sibling age 6 and less.  

10% discount if your pack has a trained rangemaster who can run BB or archery for a 2 hour shift.  (Rangemaster training can be taken on April 29th at Camp Wheeler from 9 am – 4 pm.)

Patriots’ Path Council (PPC) Climbing Instructor (CI) Training


Highly skilled, outdoor hands-on program covering PPC Level II Climbing Instructor (CI) trainingBy completing this training, you will be a qualified Level I CI and can help Level II CIs run exciting rock climbing programs!  With practice and proficiency, you can return for an evaluation to become a Level II CI

What is Monthly Sunday SLIC?

SLIC is Scout Leader Intro to Climbing

It’s a small, exclusive, free program, one Sunday afternoon each month, to introduce adults to BSA rock climbing skills,rain or shine, summer or winter, hot or cold, indoors or out, at Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation (MASR), Stanhope NJ.

Monthly Sunday Scout Leader Intro to Climbing (SLIC) resumes in March!  Sunday dates for 2017 are:

July 9
August 6
September 10
October 15
November 5
December 3

NO CLIMBING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!  We provide all instruction and climbing gear.

Check the PPC climbing info for upcoming monthly SLIC dates.
Go to, click on the Camping tab, then Year-Round Camping, then “COPE, CLIMB and Zip Line” to find SLIC.

Unit leaders, adults, and parents are all welcome to participate.  Each adult may bring one Scout-aged youth.

See what BSA rock climbing is all about.  Have fun and learn about belaying, climbing or rappelling. Learn prerequisite skills for our BSA Climbing Instructor (CI) training.

If you’ve taken CI training or are an experienced climber, come on out to brush up or advance your instructor and climbing skills.

Sessions are held on the rocks at MASR or at the COPE Pavilion, depending on weather.

Patriots’ Path Council is forming a co-ed provisional crew for Philmont 2018.  The crew is open to young men and women, Scouts and Venturers, who will be ages 15 – 18 in June 2018.  Please click here for more information.

Advancement is a key indicator of a successful unit program. Learn how to best assist your Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts and Venturers by increasing your knowledge of BSA’s policies and procedures governing advancement.

This conference, designed for district and council-level volunteers and professional Scouters will:

  • Connect participants to the essentials of advancement
  • Steer them towards a wealth of advancement resources available on
  • Engage them through group discussions on effective ways of resolving all types of advancement issues and challenges

Our conference facilitators will be Scott Berger and Dan Maxfield who are members of the National BSA Advancement Committee.

Scott Berger – Patriots’ Path Council Executive Board member Scott Berger has served as a council vice-president, district advancement chair and commissioner. He currently serves on the National Boy Scout Committee as chairman of the merit badge maintenance task force, and on the National Program Development Committee. Scott leads the Northeast Region’s Advancement Committee as it’s chairman.

Dan Maxfield – Dan has served locally as the commissioner and a vice president on his council board for many years. On the national level he was a member of the advancement committee for 20 years, has served on the commissioner support staff for the past six years, and is a member of the Boy Scout sub committee.


Register for a week of Summer STEM Institute for just under $300 before the price increases April 1!  The price of $299 includes registration, tee shirt, supplies, safety equipment, disposable lab coat and a weekly field trip.

Summer STEM Institute is an experience for the family.  Boys and girls entering grades 1-6 are welcome to attend the full day program!

New for 2017 is busing for all weeks in addition to our growing before and aftercare program!

Bus transportation is available each week from selected locations in Morris, Sussex, Union, Somerset and Middlesex counties. The bus route varies each week.  Bus transportation is an additional $60 per week.*
