2017 Youth Leadership Award

The Patriots’ Path Council is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2017 Youth Leadership Awards!

The Youth Leadership Award is presented to youth members in the Patriots’ Path Council for their leadership and service on a council level. We are pleased to announce our 2017 recipients.

The award presentation will take place on Monday, February 27th at our council annual meeting which begins at 7PM at the Hanover Manor restaurant.

NOTE:  First Come/First Served – attendance must be limited to 60 in each session.

Non-Raritan Valley Packs will not be able to register until November 7th, space permitted.

Session 1:  CHECK IN STARTS AT 8:30 AM   – EVENT RUNS FROM 9:00 AM – 11:45 AM

Session 2:  CHECK IN STARTS AT 12:30 PM  – EVENT RUNS FROM 1:00 PM – 3:45 PM

This year, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, Patriots’ Path Council is participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving.

Last year, more than 45,000 organizations in 71 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities. 2017 Trailblazer Recipients

The Trailblazer Award is a council award presented to a Scouter who has achieved significant accomplishments related to our council vision and strategic plan.

  • Ticket prices are as follows:
    • $100 ticket (100 Level, Sections 102 & 112, $8 of each ticket goes back to the Boy Scout Council)
    • $70 ticket (West Balcony Sections 317-323 & 200 Lower Level, $10 of each ticket goes back to the Boy Scout Council)
    • $50 ticket (Upper 200 level and 400 level, $10 of each ticket goes back to the Boy Scout Council)
  • All Scouts will receive a Knicks Boy Scout Patch in Section 310 before end of Half Time
  • Units can receive a Welcome Message on our scoreboard during the game

Blood Drive

CEDAR KNOLLS, NJ – September 26, 2016 – In partnership with the American Red Cross the Patriots’ Path Council Boy Scouts of America will host its’ 11th annual blood drive on Black Friday. Blood donations will be collected on Friday, November 25 from 10:00 am- 3:00 pm at four different locations. The four locations are:
· Patriots’ Path Council, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927
· NJ Sharing Network, 691 Central Ave., New Providence, NJ 07974
· Madison Elks Lodge, 192 Main Street, Madison, NJ 07940
· United Methodist Church, 201 Lincoln Ave. East, Cranford, NJ 07016

To register please go onto www.redcrossblood.org/make/donation and search the location you wish to donate blood at. Donors will receive a special edition Red Cross spoon and recipe book while supplies last.

Summer STEM Institute is HIRING!

Join the Summer STEM team and have a great summer with STEM students!

The Summer STEM Institute is located at Patriots’ Path Council, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, N.J. The program’s participants are boys and girls entering grades 1 – 6 in September. The program operates in five weekly sessions beginning July 10 through August 11, 2017.  A mandatory staff week will be held July 3. The STEM program runs Monday to Friday from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm. Before care and after care is offered beginning at 7:00 am and ending at 6:00 pm for an additional fee. More information about the program can be found by visiting www.ppcbsa.org/ssi

  • Before Care Staff (2 positions)
  • After Care Staff (2 positions)
  • Counselor in Training (Must be age 14; this is an unpaid position; 6 positions open)

2017 Black River Klondike

Registration is now open for the 2017 Black River Klondike. We will be returning to the Trexler Scout Reservation in Effort, PA,  on January 27-29.

Rally your Scouts now for  what always proves to be a fun event!  Register by January 13 to beat the late fee.
