JUST A REMINDER – June 1 is the registration deadline for summer camp training. Please make sure all your leaders who will be attending camp know about this opportunity! Here’s a re-send of our original message.
To: All adult leaders with troops attending 2016 summer camp at Winnebago Scout Reservation and Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation’s Camp Somers
As we discussed at the Summer Camp Leaders’ Meeting, Patriots’ Path Council will be offering Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training each week during summer camp at Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation’s Camp Somers and at Winnebago Scout Reservation, from 8:50 am-4:00 pm. The training flyer is attached.
- Winnebago will have training on Wednesdays: July 13, 20, 27 & August 3
- Somers will have training on Thursdays: July 14, 21, 28 & August 4
Please let all your troop’s adult leaders know about this great opportunity to complete part of their training.
THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS JUNE 1. Registration can be accomplished by going to the Patriots’ Path Council website at ppcbsa.org, hovering over “Program” then clicking on “Training” in the drop-down menu. This will take you to the Training page, where you can select the “Boy Scout Summer Camp” tab, and pick the training date at the camp you desire. You can also access registration by going to your desired date on the Council Calendar and clicking on the course name.
- Leaders do not have to be attending summer camp to attend the training course. They can just come up for the day.
- Training will be conducted even if only one person is registered for a given date.
- If nobody registers by June 1 for a particular training date, that date will be removed from the schedule and no staff will be available to conduct the training.
- So please, if your leaders are interested in taking this training, make sure they sign up by June 1!
We look forward to working with the adult leaders from your troops in this important effort to get everyone trained…EVERY SCOUT DESERVES A TRAINED LEADER!
