Certificates of Insurance

The current policy for all Certificates of Insurance (COI) will expire on March 1, 2016.  If you are currently using a location that requires a COI you will need to submit a request for the next policy period which is 3/1/16 to 3/1/17. The pack, troop, crew must submit the request, not the location/facility being used.  A COI will only be issued to those units who have a valid, activated charter.  If a charter has errors, once those are corrected and the charter is valid then a COI can be issued.  The new policy is usually received the 3rd week in February and all COI’s will be processed in the order in which they were received.  It is not too early to submit a COI request for the next policy period.  Please go to the council website ppbsa.org, go to forms, select certificate of insurance request form.  Print the form, fill it out and then email it to Linda Mickel at linda.mickel@scouting.org.
