Sign up for The Fundamentals of Training, and learn the teaching techniques and skills YOU need be an enthusiastic BSA-TRAINED TRAINER!  Prepare to provide a great training experience that can make the difference between a unit leader who is just getting by, and one who is ready to take on the world.  Be ready to train: Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Venturing leaders.

The Fundamentals of Training is designed to help Scouters, regardless of their experience, present effective training.   It will provide a great start for new trainers, show the BSA’s training techniques to those who might have trained for other organizations, and help freshen up the skills of current BSA trainers.

Who should attend?

  • Unit leaders who would like to give back and train other leaders
  • Existing trainers, both youth and adult, currently serving on district and council training teams

What will I learn?

  • Why and how we train leaders
  • Characteristics of good trainers
  • Principles of how people learn
  • Presentation media
  • Primary methods of BSA training
