  • Aquatics Instructor creates and maintains a safe and orderly system of the Aquatics Area operating procedures based on BSA Standards. This includes maintenance of swim classifications, use of the buddy system, implementation of the Safe Swim Defense and Safety Afloat programs and adherence to all Boy Scout and State aquatics regulations.
  • Qualifications: 21 years old; must complete National Camp School Certification. This is a one-week course in June paid for by the BSA. Certified in Red Cross First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer with AED (or recognized equivalents). Strong knowledge of canoeing, rowing, sailing and snorkeling.  Supervise 4-5 lifeguards and offer merit badge instruction for Scouts.
