Watchung Mountain Pinewood Derby

  • The WMD Pinewood Derby will be held on Saturday, March 21 at Mountain Park Elementary in Berkeley Heights.
  • The District Derby is for the top three qualifiers from each level (Tiger, Bear, etc.) for speed and single den winner for design categories, as of pack PWD.

Summer Resident Camp for Girls (and boys)

Do you have a daughter who wants to experience the fun and excitement of summer camp? Camp COLEY is a co-ed resident camp held at Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation. It is for grades 3-12. Although many of the campers are girls, boys are welcome too. Camp operates the week of August 9 through August 15, 2015. Please join us at Camp COLEY fun day on Saturday April 18th to meet staff and get a taste of what Camp COLEY is all about.

Summer Camps for Individual Boy Scouts

A baseball batting cage, paintball, all terrain vehicles, merit badges, skateboard half pipe, zip line, sailing, rock climbing and bridge building are some of the exciting programs offered at one or more of our summer camps. If you can’t attend summer camp with your troop or you are looking for more weeks at camp, one of our individual summer camp programs may be just for you. Camp Somers and Winnebago Scout Reservation offer both day and resident camp programs for all Boy Scouts. Trailblazer Day Camp includes bus service. Specialty programs include Trail to Eagle Camp and Backwoods Engineering Camp.

Ice Fishing Contest

All Boy Scout troops are invited to compete in the first annual Frenche’s Pond Ice Fishing Contest. The contest will be held at Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation on Saturday February 21 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.  The event is free and lunch is included.  More than $1,300 worth of prizes will be awarded.

With just 9 months until the 2015 Liberty Jamboree, registration is now open!  More than 2,500 Scouts have already saved their spot, and they are filling fast!

Webelos 2 & Arrow Light Scouts: We’d also like to remind leaders to invite their new Boy Scouts who are about to cross over from Cub Scouts.  Make sure to count them in your Save a Site and final registration numbers.  No better event to get them hooked on Boy Scouting than the Jamboree!

The Fishawack Cub Scout Gold Rush on June 7th is being relocated to the athletic fields of Central School in East Hanover.

Activities are also being redesigned to be fun for boys who have just joined through spring recruiting, as well as for experienced Cub Scouts.

District Service Days Announced for Liberty Jamboree Service Program!

The Patriots’ Path Council Community Service Committee is pleased to announce District Service Days as part of the Liberty Jamboree Service Program.

As part of the 2015 Liberty Jamboree, Patriots’ Path Council has developed a program of service projects at Liberty State Park to benefit the park, Scouts and units attending the Jamboree.

Each Day of Service is designed as a project for approximately 50 Scouts and adult leaders, with work beginning at 9:00 AM and ending at 2:00 PM.

The scheduled District Service Days* are:

Watchung Mountain District April 18, 2015 Garden & Weed Control
Munsee District April 25, 2015 Nature Center Garden

Raritan Valley District June 7, 2015 Trail Maintenance
