Den Chief Training

denchief

Registration for summer and fall den chief training is now open.  A Boy Scout who serves as a den chief not only helps Cub Scouts have fun as he provides a valuable resource for den leaders, those working toward the ranks of Star, Life, or Eagle can also meet the Position of Responsibility requirement for their next rank.

Furthermore, trained den chiefs are one of the best helpers around for Wolf, Bear, Webelos, and Arrow of Light den leaders, as they help with activities, advancement, ceremonies, crafts, and other den events. More information about den chiefs, along with class registration links, is available on the Den Chief Training Page (http://training.ppbsa.org/youth/denchief/).

Finally, den leaders should take a look at http://training.ppbsa.org/youth/denchief/WorkingWithADenChief.ppt to see for yourselves how a den chief can help you deliver the Cub Scout program.

Our next den chief training is being presented on Sunday, August 24 at 1 PM in the Berkeley Heights Rescue Squad building.
