2014 Sussex District Klondike

In Search of the Yeti

2014 Sussex District Klondike

Camp Somers, Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation, Stanhope, NJ

Friday, Jan. 24th to Sunday Jan. 26th

Patrols will be given their mission which will direct them to their stations of Scouting skills. They will be directed in a pre-determined rotation of stations. The patrol leader will show his leadership while searching for the Yeti Beast. Clues of the Yeti’s location will be given at the station.

Your job as a loyal Scout is to do your best as you are tested in skills that would be found in the handbook for Tenderfoot rank up to Star rank. You will be awarded points on how you did. Scout spirit will also be graded which will help you.  You are to follow the list of needed materials to carry on your Klondike sled.  Your sled will be inspected and Scouts will be judged on how they are dressed for weather! The patrol may be penalized for lack of preparation.

A Saturday dinner will be given in our dining hall followed by our award ceremony.
