Patriots’ Path Council Proudly Announces Our Next Scouting Jamboree

In October 2015 the Patriots’ Path Council will be conducting a Scouting Jamboree. The theme of the Jamboree will be Scouting and STEM. A spectacular location is now in the planning and will be announced shortly.

Doug Trump and John Kennedy our council program vice presidents are pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Davidson as our Jamboree chairman.

Bob began Cub Scouts in Westwood in 1966, and continued in Scouting until 1975, earning the rank of Star in Troop 157 in Midland Park. He began his adult Scouter life as a Tiger den leader with Pack 68 in Towaco in 2000, continuing as a den leader through Webelos II in 2005. In September 2005 he joined Troop 74 as an ASM, moving up to Scoutmaster in 2008 and serving until 2011. Bob attended summer camp for four years, 2006 through 2009.

In 2009 he began serving on the 2010 National Jamboree committee, and served as the 3rd assistant Scoutmaster for PPC Jamboree Troop 208. In 2010 he became Advisor to Venturing Crew 74, restarting the crew with 5 members, and it has now grown to 17. Bob has led treks to Sabattis Adventure Camp in 2011 and Florida Sea Base in 2012. The crew will trek at Northern Tier in June 2014.

In 2011 he began work on the 2013 National Jamboree committee and served on as the PPC Venturing Crew F507 Advisor. In February of 2013 Bob became the Fishawack District advancement chairman and also currently serves as a Fishawack unit commissioner.

He attended Wood Badge training in the fall of 2011, earning his beads in the spring of 2012. He has also earned the Scouter Training Award as Scoutmaster and Crew Advisor, and has earned the Scouter’s Key and Unit Leader Award of Merit.

Bob lives in Towaco since 1997 with his wife Cathe and son Clayton, a 2010 Eagle Scout, Venturer, and sophomore at Syracuse University
